The beautiful wild gazelle

The dead children on the canvas

Da cerca do teu quintal

From the wall in your garden

Bandeira verde magrela

The green magrela (a flower) flag

Com grana, sangue e miséria

With money, blood, and misery

Confeito o teu carnaval

As your carnival candy

Mas se a pobreza te assusta

But if poverty frightens you

A cretinice te rói

The Cretin gnaws at you
